Universidad del Mayab believes that student life should be as full and rich as possible, both inside and outside the classroom. We offer to students numerous social and cultural activities such as theater, concerts, lectures, debates, music (choir), photography and many more. Students can also choose to practice a broad range of sports such as basketball, softball, volleyball, soccer, tae kwon do, tennis, swimming, aerobics and athletics among others, to provide a more complete university experience.

Studying at Universidad del Mayab is a great opportunity to enjoy this safe, tranquil part of Mexico, a destination that offers a world of culture, relaxation and entertainment to anyone who decides to discover it. In Yucatan the students will find the most important archaeological sites of the Mayan World, old churches and monasteries from the colonial period, monumental haciendas, caves and cenotes (underground rivers), ecological tours, sea and sun, with a range of first-class tourist services.

Students find many activities in and around Merida to do on their own. In the city, students can visit the museums, colonial churches and government buildings, as well as many beautiful beaches along the northern Gulf coast half and hour away from Merida by bus. They can also spend a weekend in Cancun, located four hours drive from Merida.
