Visiting Professor Program

As a University with international perspective, the Mayab developed the Visiting Professor Program in 1997 with two main objectives in mind. First, to present the students with state of the art knowledge taught by international faculty in order to increase value to the studies of upper students and to make them aware of the need of international relations. Second, to be a first approach to establish long-term relations with prestigious international institutions and their staff in order to promote academic exchange in the forms of student and faculty exchange, joint research projects, joint undergraduate assignments, or any other activity which would facilitate interrelations among students of two or more universities.

The Visiting Professor Program has served as an important link between international institutions and the Universidad del Mayab. Important projects are currently being developed as a direct result of this program. It has been an excellent tool to promote global understanding and student/faculty exchange.
