Class System

Teaching Method

The teaching method varies between each professor and the subject’s nature; as this may be theoretic or practical.

Most of the subjects require physical presence of the professor and some use videoconference technology. Classes are complemented by tutoring, seminars, conferences, workshops, written projects and team-work projects.

The student-professor relationship is very open, as we consider the importance this has on the students learning process. The university expects students to be participative and to contribute with their own experiences to class. Professor will always help clear doubts students may have.

Tutors

Each student has a tutor that will help him along his career and give him academic advice. Students may approach their tutors if any academic doubt or problem has appeared. We recommend visiting your tutors at least 3 times per semester.

Academic Notes

Each School or Faculty publishes information regarding to their area in the “display boards” located on the University halls. Remember to read and pay attention to them periodically.

The Institutional Communication Department of Universidad Anáhuac Mayab e-mails an electronic bulletin called NOTAS MAYAB, where the University news and highlights are published.
