Medical Insurance

It’s mandatory to all exchange students at Universidad Anáhuac Mayab to have a complete coverage medical insurance, death insurance and transfer of the remains.

We suggest buying your insurance from a company in your country, that has direct ventures with the principal hospitals in Merida, as here in Mexico, medical insurance is very expensive. Request the insurance company a letter written in English or Spanish, certifying you made a contract with them. It should have identification and a complete description of everything that is included. Please don’t forget to send our International Academic Affairs Office a copy of your papers so you can be registered.

If you suffer from a chronic ailment, existing condition, or for any other reason visit a specialist frequently, we recommend for your own safety to notify this to our Director of International Academic Affairs.
